Fees & participation requirements

What does the regular season fee cover?

The fee supports Team UP coaching and travel for four away competitions plus All-Stars for both Tier 1 and Tier 2. Expenses include gas, tolls, meals, first aid, and other coaching costs.

  • Competition registration is separate: Families register and pay each event directly. Typical registration fees are approximately $75 for Tier 1 and $55 for Tier 2 per competition. The $110 Team UP fee does not include event registration.
  • Home competitions: Team UP athletes pay no additional coaching fees for competitions hosted at Urban Playground.
  • Optional Head-to-Head at Apex Ninja Center: Open to all athletes, with no Team UP travel or coaching fee. Team participation in this event will help determine whether to include more Head-to-Head competitions in future seasons.
How do fundraising credits work?

Credits from each fundraiser are divided evenly among participating Team UP athletes and applied toward the $110 regular season fee. Your balance decreases as credits are earned.

Families who choose fundraising commit to participating in all scheduled Team UP fundraisers. Missing a scheduled fundraiser makes the full $110 competitive fee due, regardless of credits earned at earlier events. Postseason fees also remain the family’s responsibility.

Illness, family emergencies, financial hardship, and other unavoidable circumstances can be addressed individually. Please communicate with the team if something prevents your family from participating.

Additional fundraisers may be added based on the amount raised. Families choosing fundraising are expected to participate in the Mum Sale.

What about Regionals, Worlds & membership?

Regionals and Worlds are separate from the $110 regular season fee. Postseason fees and fundraising are handled separately. Amounts and dates are still to be determined after locations, qualification details, and official league information are released.

Once regular season fees are covered, fundraising efforts will shift toward postseason expenses. Our goal is to keep fundraising throughout the year to reduce—and hopefully cover as much as possible—of these postseason costs.

Membership is separate: A $30 annual membership fee is charged once per family with active members on December 31, 2026, covering all of 2027. It is not included in the competitive fee. Current UP members are not charged an additional membership fee when joining Team UP.

Next: Regionals & Worlds

The $110 fee covers the regular season only. Regionals and Worlds will have separate fees and separate fundraising. Those amounts are not yet set.

After regular season fees are covered, fundraising will shift toward postseason costs. Final amounts depend on event locations, athlete qualification, and official league information.

We’ll share Regionals and Worlds fees and fundraising details once locations and qualification information are available.

Families register and pay competition entry fees individually. Summer team training and the Team-only camp also have separate costs.
