All registration fees for WNL competitions at Urban Playground are non-refundable. However, we understand that emergencies can arise. Please review the following exceptions:

🩼 Injury or Family Emergency

• If an athlete experiences a significant injury (must be accompanied by a doctor’s note) or there is a passing of an immediate family member, we may approve a full balance forward to a future Urban Playground competition during the same WNL season

• Requests must be submitted within 7 days of the missed event

🤒 Minor Injury or Illness

• For less serious injuries or illnesses, we can transfer your registration to a future Urban Playground competition with a $25 processing fee

• A coupon code will be provided for the remaining balance

• Requests must also be submitted within 7 days of the missed event

🌨️ Weather & Emergencies

• Events will proceed under most winter weather conditions

• If severe weather or another emergency prevents the event from running safely, we will arrange a makeup date

• No refunds will be issued in these cases — only a reschedule or a forwarded balance to a future Urban Playground competition during the same WNL season

🎓 Certified Coaches & Floor Access

Each athlete is allowed to bring only one certified coach onto the floor during warm-ups, course walkthroughs, their run, or redemption time.

• The coach must hold a current WNL certification

• The coach must have an Urban Playground waiver on file

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents or guardians who are not coaching the athlete during their run are not permitted on the floor. This policy ensures a safe and organized environment for all athletes and staff.

⏰ Wave Start Times

Our goal is to keep start times and waves as close as possible to the original posted schedule. However, due to the nature of these events, various factors may cause times to shift.

• Most changes, if needed, are within 1–2 hours

• In rare cases, more significant adjustments may be necessary

If a wave is rescheduled to a different day, and the athlete is no longer able to attend, please notify us before the event and we will issue a coupon code to forward the balance to a future Urban Playground competition in the same WNL season

We’ve made some updates to how we share event information. Here’s what to expect:

• All major updates will be sent via email during the week leading up to each competition

• Each Qualifier will have a dedicated event webpage, including:

• Check-in times

• Run orders

• Walkthrough video link

• Other important information

🔁 These webpages will be updated continuously as information becomes available.

You will receive:

• An email on Wednesday with a link to your event’s webpage

• A follow-up email on Friday after run orders are finalized

• Walkthrough videos will be posted to our YouTube channel the evening before each competition

• Event pages will also be linked in the top banner of our website starting Wednesday of competition week

Urban Playground does not have a public phone number. Our primary method of communication is email.

• We will no longer create individual Facebook events for each competition
